New Building site work is underway!

3/15/2019

On March 3, as a congregation, we broke ground on the construction site of our new building. What a joy and privilege it was to see God at work in our midst, and what a great time we had celebrating together as a church family! We want to thank all of you who have done, and continue to do, so much to make these kinds of joyous days possible for our church. Above all, we continue to give thanks to the Lord for doing “immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine” (Ephesians 3:20).

Construction began over the past two weeks with fences being put up, construction vehicles arriving on site and the arrival of the Lewis Construction trailer, which will remain with us throughout the project. This week the focus of the work has been on grading for the new fellowship space, focusing on building pad grading, stocking soil, and hauling off.

Next week, they will begin excavating for footers and prepping rebar for concrete footing pours in the area of the new fellowship space, and the following week the construction crew will begin the mass excavation for the fire tank location. We are rolling right along! We will continue to post regular updates.
Now that our property is under major construction, please keep these things mind:
  • Try not to use the back double doors leading out of the current fellowship hall. These will remain unlocked for emergency purposes, but are not intended as a means of exiting the building any more.  There will be a time where these doors will be permanently shut in order to complete the tie-in work. We will provide more updates throughout the project.
  • Be aware of surroundings when accessing the church campus during the weekdays. Heavy equipment and workers will be present onsite.
  • The church parking loop will be open during Sunday services for access around the campus, however please try to park in the spots outside of the construction laydown area. The spots inside the fence will be used periodically for material storage.

We ask God for safety and wisdom as we worship, serve, and work, while our property remains under construction in the coming year, and as always, we are grateful for our congregation and your commitment to our church in this process!
