Pray for Baltimore

As we watch the events in our city unfold, let us pray:  

• For wisdom and strength for our governor, mayor, police chief, police men and women, and all in authority, that they would know how to bring peace, justice, and mercy to the City of Baltimore.
  
• For those who have been victimized by random acts of violence, that they would know God’s comfort, peace and healing. 
  
• For pastors and church members who live in the city, that they would know how to lead, love, and serve the people of Baltimore. 
  
• As Jesus commands in Luke 6: 27-36, for those who would seek to “steal, kill, and destroy”, that they may repent of their wicked deeds, their hearts may be turned, that they may receive forgiveness, make restitution, and “seek peace”. 
  
•  Pray also that in the months to come we may be able to address the underlying challenges and tensions that have given rise to the violence and destruction of our city. 

Remember that the ultimate battle is ”not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, authorities, and spiritual forces of darkness in the heavenly realms.”  (Ephesians 6). Remember that the battle belongs to the Lord and let us pray that He would bring renewal and peace to our city.
