The Westminster Rescue Mission is a nonprofit Christian organization committed to seeing lives healed and transformed. The Mission's areas of service include:
Mission Marketplace - our large physical storehouse - offers “Rescued Finds and Furnishings” at deeply discounted rates to meet the essential and household needs of local community members looking to uncover hidden troves and treasures at a steal.
For those experiencing food insecurity, the Mission Food Program provides community outreach services and a food pantry for individuals and families in need of hunger relief.
How can Res members serve?
Why I (we) serve?
"For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat... whatever you did for one of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me (Matthew 25:35, 40). Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper (Jer. 29:7). And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God (Micah 6:8). Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God (Proverbs 13:41)."
