VESTRY LEADERSHIP COUNCIL

The vestry are elected members of the congregation who  serve with the Clergy to provide leadership of the church. 

OUR VESTRY

Our vestry is currently comprised of nine members that serve three-year terms. Vestry members are elected during our annual all-parish meeting in the fall, with an open call for vestry members beginning in June.  
The Vestry must be members of Resurrection as well as men and women of spiritual maturity.
The presiding officer of the vestry is the rector.
What are the Responsibilities of the Vestry?
The responsibilities of the vestry are to help define and articulate the mission of the congregation; to support the church's mission by word and deed, to select the rector, to ensure effective organization and planning, and to manage resources and finances.
Who are the Officers of the Vestry?
There are two wardens. The senior warden leads the parish between rectors and both wardens serve as a support for the rector. Wardens must be sitting members of the vestry.  A treasurer and a secretary are also chosen. These officers may or may not be vestry members.

The Vestry is comprised of 9 members, including a Senior Warden and Junior Warden, that serve 3-year terms. The job of Vestry members is to work with the Rector to articulate the mission of the church and to manage resources and finances. They must be members of Resurrection as well as men and women of spiritual maturity. Each of these candidates has made a commitment to their Christian discipleship and spiritual growth, including regular participation in worship, church activities, personal prayer, and Bible Study. We trust that these members are equipped to serve our congregation with wisdom and love and will be able and ready to do so if elected by the congregation.
