ResKids Worship Weekly Zoom: Sundays at 10 am

Join the ResKids Worship Zoom

Introduction Activity: Create with Dough

Supplies Needed:  Play-dough or clay (if you don't have either there are many simple recipes for no-cook play-dough online)

Invite your child to create something out of play dough or modeling clay.  Encourage them to create a person, animal, or object that is important to them.  Point out as they shape their dough, that they are they creator and the dough is the creation.
Statues can be good just to look at or to remind us of someone or something important, but can you imagine worshiping a statue? In today's Bible story, God sent Paul to the city of Athens.  When Paul got there he was upset! The people of Athens were worshipping false God's.  Let's find out what Paul told the people about the one true God.

Worship

Key Verse: But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8

Application Activity: Worship God

Supplies Needed:  nothing (optional: music app or internet)

Listen to  "The God of Wow" and look at the lyrics together or select another worship song that talks about who God is such as:
  • My God is So Big (toddler/preschool)
  • Holy, Holy, Holy
  • Praise to the Lord, the Almighty
  • Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise
  • Good, Good Father
Come up with your own "Wow" list of things about God! See if you can think of something that describes God for every letter of the alphabet!
Wow! We know lots about God.  It's amazing to think of how much He has revealed to us in His Word.  The people of Athens worshipped an unknown god, but the Bible teaches that God knows us and wants us to know Him as our Father.

Paul taught the people in Athens that the one true God sent Jesus to be the Savior.  God wants to have a personal relationship with each of us through Jesus.  How amazing is that?!
