Facilities Use Policy & Request Form

Please note that this is the abbreviated list of policies & procedures and not meant to be exhaustive. For more information, please contact Christel Smallman, Operations Coordinator at christel@resbalt.org or 410-560-0456.

The purpose of this document is to provide a quick and easy reference for all users of Church of the Resurrection’s facilities. We encourage you to treat our building as you would your home, and take care of it in the same manner. We believe that these policies encourage good stewardship of the resources God has entrusted us with, and reflect that responsibility. These are not meant to be a burden, but will help ensure that our facilities will be available and ready for events following yours.

It is the responsibility of the group or individual using the facility to adhere to the following policies before, during, and after the approved event or activity.
  1. Keys to the church and both trailers are in the lockbox located at the rear entrance to the church building. Code will be given to the responsible party no later than 24 hours before your event (office trailer only: alarm code will be given if needed).
  2. Weather-appropriate and room-specific thermostat instructions will be given to the responsible party no later than 24 hours before your event.
  3. Every effort will be made to have your room(s) set up before your event. You may be asked to set up your own furniture/equipment or break down & put away your equipment after use. Specific instructions will be given no later than 24 hours before your event.
  4. All cleaning supplies & equipment are located in the janitor’s closet between the bathrooms.
  5. It is expected that all items, trash and debris will be removed & the room will look cleaner than when you arrived.
  6. Collect all garbage into bags and bring it out to the dumpster (rear of church).
  7. If tablecloths are used, remove & take home to launder. Please return within one week or less.
  8. Wipe off tables. If food or drink is involved, wipe all tables clean using a mild soap and water solution. If stains occur, please notify office so correct cleaning solutions can be used to remove stains.
  9. Sweep, vacuum, or mop floors as appropriate. If stains occur, please notify office so correct cleaning solutions can be used to remove stains.
  10. If using the kitchen, please wash and dry all dishes used and return them to the correct cupboard. Do not leave any items in either sink.
  11. Take all extra food and beverage with you or throw it away. Do not leave any food on countertops, in refrigerator, or freezer.
  12. Wipe counters and leave kitchen clean and ready for the next use.
  13. Remove any items put up on the walls or set out in connection with your event.
  14. If the building is not in use when finished, please check that all doors are locked, windows are closed, and lights are off. Please also return thermostats to instructed levels. Then lock up & return keys to lockbox (office trailer only - set the alarm if you are the last person leaving).
  15. Report any damage to equipment or property promptly to Christel Smallman, Operations Coordinator

Thank you for your cooperation with these guidelines. If you have any questions, you may contact Christel Smallman, Operations Coordinator.
